Wes Moulton earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Angelo State University. After college, Wes worked in formula-development and management in specialty pharmacies in Texas and Arizona; and later worked as an Office and Program Administrator in a social service non-profit agency. He has always been bi-vocational, having also worked in church music and liturgy. Over the last twenty years, he has served as organist, pianist, choral accompanist, choir director, liturgist, and organist/choirmaster in churches in Abilene, TX; Breckenridge, Texas; Sierra Vista, AZ; Green Valley, AZ; and Tucson, AZ.
In his free time, Wes gardens, spends time with his friends, and takes his Rottweiler on walks and rides. At OMOS, he currently assists with the coordination of Liturgy and Music; plays piano and organ for Masses; directs the youth choir, "Pray Twice"; directs the "Lady of Guadalupe" Choir; and serves as a weekday lector.
Wes was raised a Protestant but was drawn to the Catholic Church by the Eucharist, the beauty of the liturgy, and the strong sense of being connected to the faithful-of-the-past through church teaching and tradition. Our Mother of Sorrows Parish became a place that quickly felt like home to Wes, full of warmth and love, a place that has made him understand the words that were said to him at his reception into the Church, "Welcome Home".
